World Diabetes Day - November 14

Every 3 minutes another Canadian is diagnosed with diabetes! A healthy and active lifestyle may help prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. On World Diabetes Day (November 14), we encourage you to participate in an activity of your choice at a time that works best for you and then plan to include physical activity in your schedule every day. 
Perhaps plan a walk over the lunch hour or after work? See our Indoor and Outdoor Walking Trail maps for routes and distance information. Or visit the Hanson Fitness and Lifestyle Centre in PAWS and try out some of the cardiovascular training equipment, free weights or resistance training machines.
